How did you two meet?

We met on the dating app Hinge! Jess liked one of Jason’s photos so Jason received the notification and saw on Jess’s profile that she had answered a form question of “Where would you be found at a party?” with “At the Dessert table”. Jason commented that that is the best place to be and the rest is history.

How did he pop the question?

Following a hike at Acadaia National Park in Maine, specifically at a scenic overlook called Thunder Hole.

What was your favorite moment(s) from the wedding?

Jason – Seeing Jess walk down the aisle, walking around and seeing it come together

Jess – Reading each other’s vows, dancing at the end of the night to Wagon Wheel, Both – celebrating with all of our friends and family

How long have you been together?

since 9/2/18 (almost 3 years)

How would you describe your overall wedding experience?

Jess – wonderful, magical, surreal

Jason – an absolutely perfect day

What advice would you offer to other couples planning a wedding

Make check lists and plan ahead, divide tasks monthly, share the responsibilities, give yourself extra time

Tell me about your dress. Where did you find it, how did you choose it, how did you know it was the one?

I found a shop in Fall River online that had good reviews, and went with my sister to try on a few dresses. I liked the one I wore because it was simple, classic, and comfortable.

How was your experience taking photos/working with me on your wedding day?

Great! It was very helpful having two photographers and that we had an idea of the shots we were looking for beforehand.

Did you see each other before the wedding? If not, did you like waiting or would you have rather done it differently? Tell me why or why not!

Yes but not after we started getting ready. The first time we saw each other dressed was at the wedding. We liked waiting until the start of the ceremony but it was very helpful we were both onsite the whole time.

Any tips on how to prepare for the wedding photos?

DJ: DJ Tony was great to work with and read the room very well. Also played a lot of what we wanted and was very organized

Florist: Annmary was very nice and understanding of our needs, not at all sales-y. flowers were beautiful

Videographer: Johnny was great to work with, we look forward to seeing the final footage

Did you find a store/site that had everything you were looking for? Use this space to talk about favorite shops. You can include where you got your dress, sites you got your veils/décor/accessories, etc

Etsy was a nice space to find small items like the veil, jewelery and gifts

What were you most anxious, nervous or fearful about regarding your wedding day and what was the outcome?

transporting the centerpieces from our hotel to the venue (we bought these from Costco), ensuring everyone felt safe due to Covid and still had fun. The flowers made it safely and everyone had a GREAT time.

What’s one piece of advice you would give to other couples for planning their wedding?
