I am so thrilled to share another Log Cabin Wedding! Jennie and Riston were so amazing to work with on their wedding day. Everyone remained calm as a rainstorm blew through an hour before their ceremony. With the heat, all was dry before their ceremony.

We were set up by mutual friends.
He asked me if I wanted to go on a drive in the Jeep back in October 2019. We drove up Catamount to see the foliage and he pulled into a clearing and then popped the question!
It’s too hard to pick a favorite! Everything felt perfect and fun.

Amazing! The weather was beautiful (one of the first nice weekends in a while), everyone we love was there, everything went as planned, and we finally got the wedding of our dreams after having to postpone for one year. It felt surreal in the moment and everything just felt perfect.
Plan ahead, but on the day of the wedding, just go with the flow. Some things will happen just as you planned, some will be better than you could have imagined, and some things may need a slight adjustment. The most important thing is that you celebrate together and live in the moment – there is a lot of excitement and love on your wedding day!
Check their website to make sure you like their style and make sure you set up a call or meeting so you can get to know them a little. It’s important to get along with your photographers!! It makes the whole experience that much better!
My dress was an ivory strapless ballgown-turned-A line. I bought it (along with all of the accessories) at Aliber’s Bridal in Greenfield, MA. I knew I wanted something classically beautiful and Aliber’s pulled a bunch of options for me to try. When I put my dress on, I felt like a princess, which is how I always wanted to feel on my wedding day. They put the veil and belt on and I knew it was the one!
Working with Greg (and Lesley) was amazing!! They were so friendly, gave the best guidance/instruction while photographing us, and kept things light and fun. I could tell that they really cared about our wedding and us! They made sure we were moving along schedule while also getting all of the photos we really wanted. They really blended right into the wedding, allowing them to get some great candid shots. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
We did a first look. I liked this because it gave us a small moment just the two of us. Couples are surrounded by other people on their wedding day, so having a private moment like the first look feels intimate and special.
Read your email!! Greg sent so many helpful tips. Also remember to relax and not overthink it.
Our florist, Kerry from “i do flowers” in Easthampton, MA, was absolutely wonderful. She’s so much fun to talk to and walked me through all of my options. On the day of the wedding, my flowers were gorgeous!! She delivered them on time, everything was organized and easy to transport, and all of the flowers looked full and healthy.
Our DJ, Jared from Marx Entertainment in East Longmeadow, MA, was fantastic!! He was so friendly, made sure everything was just right for our special day and got everyone out on the dance floor. He played awesome music, checked on us throughout the night, and just did an overall amazing job. Website:
Our hairstylist, Danielle Sullivan-Beck, co-owner of Hair Apothecary in South Deerfield, MA, was amazing. There were 8 people getting their hair done, and every single style came out beautifully. Dani asked for our desired style and then made sure we were happy with everything once it was done. Everyone’s hair looked awesome and it held all day and night. In addition to her fantastic work, Dani was a great addition to our getting ready group. She was so nice and fun to hang out with!
Our makeup artist, Shannon Baltazar, owner of Baltazar Hair Company in Wilbraham, MA, was awesome!! The makeup was beautiful and suited each person’s features and style. She had us look in the mirror and made adjustments (adjusting color or adding more) as we suggested to make sure it was perfect. She really wanted to make sure we were happy with everything – and we definitely were! The makeup lasted all day and night! She was also a delight to have with us while we were getting ready!
Aliber’s Bridal in Greenfield, MA is amazing. The people who work there are so nice and helpful and do everything they can to make sure you have the best experience. I found my dress, belt, veil, and hair comb at Aliber’s; they also did my alterations! I couldn’t have asked for a better bridal shop! I am going to miss going to see them!
Try not to stress about the things you cannot control (this was very hard for me!). I was concerned about postponing and then I was concerned about the weather in July. In the end, it doesn’t really matter if it rains or it’s humid. Your wedding will be great just because it’s your wedding! Try to enjoy the day and remember the extra good moments.
