I am so thrilled to bring you Mary and Steve’s wedding at the Salem Cross Inn.

Let’s hear about Mary and Steve’s wedding at the Salem Cross Inn from the two of them.

December 04, 2021

Steve and I met through friends years ago then we reconnected at the Big E in 2017. We started dating right after we bumped into each other at the Big E on September 22nd, 2017. He told me he was going to marry me after just 3 months of dating.

He popped the question on Christmas morning in 2019. He handed me a special box with a love letter inside then as I finished reading the letter he got on one knee and proposed.

One favorite momentsl from the wedding was our first dance together which included our son, Benjamin. Another great moment was cutting the cake and then serving the apple pie and whipped cream to our guests. The dance party at the end of the night was great too!

Since 2017

Our wedding day was a dream come true! Despite waiting an extra year due to the pandemic, it was worth the wait! It was amazing spending the day with our closest friends and family who we love so much.

Remember to have fun and include each other in all the wedding plans. It makes the wedding planning process less stressful and more fun. Cherish every moment because the wedding day passes by in the blink of an eye.

Try to keep to the time schedule otherwise things get a bit hectic. If something doesn’t go as planned, just go with the flow.

I bought my dress from Bridal Corner in Chicopee. My mom and I went dress shopping together and she helped me pick the perfect dress. I knew it was the right one, because it was the only dress that I didn’t want to take off. As soon as I tried on the matching veil I knew I was going to say yes to the dress.

I really loved working with Greg on my wedding day. I am not very comfortable posing for pictures, but you made it feel easy. I only wish we had a little more time before the wedding, but everything worked out nicely. Thank you so much for making our day special.

We decided to do a first look before the wedding ceremony and we really enjoyed that special moment together. It also saved time getting most of the photos done before the ceremony. It gave us more time with our guest doing cocktail hour.

Make sure hair and make-up is running on time. Keep things organized to save time.

Greg was great about getting the wedding party organized. I made a daily schedule to make sure the guys arrived on time for the first look. If I were to change anything I would have made sure it take an individual picture with each of my bridesmaids.

Comfortable dancing shoes and a bride bag with any essentials you may need.

Bridal Corner for my dress and David’s bridal for my Bridesmaid dresses. The men got their tuxedos from Formal Affairs in West Springfield and they were wonderful to work with. We also bought many personalized items from Etsy.com.

Work together! Use your time wisely and don’t worry about things you can’t change.

Salem Cross Inn’s fire roasted prime rib and the Maple Jack Chicken with bacon.

Our first dance was From the Ground Up by Dan & Shay. My father-daughter dance was in memory of my dad, Robert. My eldest brother, Andrew and I danced to There You’ll Be by Faith Hill. Our family then joined hands and danced together. Steve danced with his mother to My Wish by Rascal Flatts.
