Danielle and Nick’s Log Cabin Wedding

We were blessed with a stunning sunset at Danielle and Nick’s Log Cabin Wedding

Danielle and Nick both got ready at the D Hotel and took separate convenient shuttles up to the Log Cabin. Where Danielle put on her wedding dress and finished getting ready before the ceremony.

I hope you enjoy the Q & A part of my blogs as much as I do as we really get to find out some incredible insights from the wedding day. So let’s hear more from Danielle.

What was your favorite moment(s) from the wedding?

While we were planning the wedding, I dreaded the thought of walking around at dinner and talking to everyone, looking back on it, that was my favorite part! The mood in the room is so great, and all of the people you love the most are in one room and it’s a really great experience to see them all and share that time with them!

What advice would you offer to other couples planning a wedding?

Focus on what makes the two of you happy. We kept that in mind for our whole planning process, and it made it so much more fun! We didnt ask for family member’s input or opinions, which made decision making a breeze!

How was your experience taking photos/working with me on your wedding day?

Working with Greg was awesome! We took our engagement pictures with Greg and met with him during the planning process, which I highly recommend because by the time of the wedding I felt as though he knew exactly what we liked! His assistant Ryan was just as great and there wasn’t a picture we didn’t like! He was so professional and organized it took away the stress in planning! And our pictures are incredible!

Tell me about your dress. Where did you find it, how did you choose it, how did you know it was the one?

I knew I wanted a dress that was unique, but I refused to pay a ridiculous amount of money for an article of clothing I’d only wear for 8 hours. That’s how I found Marianne’s Bridal Outlet online. She sells designer gowns that have been discontinued or sold wholesale, allowing her to sell them 50%-80% off retail price! It was by appointment only, and you gave the full shop and Marianne is incredible! I ended up with a fully beaded Sottero&Midgley for $499!

We love to hear about vendors you love. List any vendors here and feel free to share your experience. Be sure to include the name of the vendor, their profession, city/state, site or Facebook page and how your experience was!

Bob Raina Disc Jockey Service is the best! He was so professional and easy to work with! And he knows exactly how to read a crowd and had everyone dancing all night!

What were you most anxious, nervous or fearful about regarding your wedding day and what was the outcome?

The weather!!! We chose our venue, The Log Cabin mainly for the gorgeous ceremony site. In fact we never even inquired about what the indoor ceremony space looked like until well after we booked the venue. Being the last week of August we took a huge risk that it would be unbearably hot or raining. Lucky for us the weather was perfect! But at the end of the day I’ve realized that there is nothing you can do about the weather, and no matter the weather your wedding will be perfect anyways.

What’s one piece of advice you would give to other couples for planning their wedding?

Don’t stress! Really, the little details you are stressing about don’t matter. Focus on good food, a good Dj, and. a good photographer and you’ll have a great wedding!

Let’s take a look at a few of the photos from their wedding day.
