We grew up in the same town and eventually lived in the same neighborhood throughout high school. Ryan drove me to school every morning, though we didn’t start dating until both going away for college.
I always had a Willow tree in my front yard growing up, it was my favorite thing to see how it changed every year. Ryan took me to Willow Tree Park in Salem and proposed under the most beautiful willow.
First look pictures were the best, I’d recommend this private moment to everyone!

Our wedding day was truly magical, we laughed and danced and created so many memories.
Keep true to what you and your significant other want. Don’t fret about other people’s desires, the day is about you two and no one else!
Plan extra time for pictures. To us, pictures captured the memories and the only thing I’d change is allowing more time for them!
My dress was a Maggie Sottero A-line gown from Ve’Lace Bridal Boutique in Bellingham, MA. I knew I wanted a dress with special features such as a leg slit, lace, a dramatic back, and sleeves. I also knew I wanted to change for the reception. My budget friendly way of doing this included removable sleeves, which ended up being perfect. Even before the sleeves were added, I had the quintessential “say yes to the dress” moment filled with happy tears the second I stepped onto the pedestal in my dress. It fit like a glove, was stunning, and comfortable. Above all else I knew it was the one because I could see myself spending my entire day wearing the dress, I never wanted to take it off.
Working with Greg on our wedding day was a piece of cake! He was so helpful and flexible. Our complex family systems required lots of variations of photos and he flawlessly captured them all. We felt comfortable with Greg and trusted his judgment when we weren’t sure of what we wanted. I couldn’t imaging our day with anyone else!
We loved our first look. I always knew I wanted an intimate moment to privately see each other before walking down the aisle. I wouldn’t have changed a thing!
Think about all the people you want to have professional photos with and organize them accordingly. Greg was great about compiling a list of important people for us, but I would recommend to anyone planning in advance.
We sent out a detailed itinerary to wedding party and immediate family we wanted to be ready and available for pictures. It worked well for everyone to know the timeline and our expectations. Everyone was accommodating and, given the space, were patient with us as well!
It was helpful to have all my details collected and ready for Greg when he and his assistant arrived. They got those photos out of the way first while we finished getting ready.
The Boylston Rooms was an exquisite venue and the team was extremely helpful! We were looking for an all inclusive venue, with our busy jobs we desired a venue that had it all. The Boylston Rooms not only had a vast array of decor for us to choose from, but came armed with suggestions, helpful tips, and an open mind to help curate our perfect day. Combined with Myers Catering, everything was super simple and went off without a hitch!
Don’t worry about traditions or expectations of others, do what you want, in the end it’s about the two of you!
Our first dance song was a cover of Shania Twain’s “You’re Still the One” by Teddy Swims. We let our Mom and Dad secretly pick out the father-daughter and Mother-Son dance songs, which was super special to be surprised by in the moment.
