Kaela and Jon’s Simsbury Inn Wedding on October 26, 2019.
I am so excited to bring you another spectacular wedding! Kaela and Jon’s Simsbury inn wedding was simply stunning! I am blessed to have couples that are so easy to work with and makes my job so easy.
Let’s hear how their day went!
We met online through match.com.
In our living room! Jon wanted to propose on the beach in Florida but my ring didn’t come in time. The same day my ring came in, about two hours later, he popped the question because he didn’t want to wait any longer!
I loved our first look. I was so anxious about walking down the aisle that seeing Jon beforehand was perfect. I also loved when we walked out of the church to the “Peanuts” theme song. Most of our guests didn’t know it was going to be played and since it is sort of unconventional everyone laughed.
I would make sure to ask your friends about vendors. I found it so hard to pick vendors and we ended up going with people that others had recommended to us.
Relax! I don’t particularly like getting my photo taken but Greg made it really easy. I would highly recommend getting an engagement shoot just to learn what it is like getting your photo taken by a professional.
I found my dress at Pearl Bridal Boutique in Holyoke. My gown was a strapless a-line dress with a very subtle touch of pink to it. My favorite part was the lace on the top. It was unique and I felt really set the dress apart.
I really appreciated Gregs sense of calm. He was open to any shots I wanted to take but also took the lead on shots he thought would look good. I didn’t have to worry about if the pictures would turn out well at all!
Yes, we did a first look and it was perfect. It was done outside of the hotel and it was fun because my bridesmaids and mom were watching. It still felt like a private moment between the two of us. I was still overwhelmed walking down the aisle with my dad so I can’t imagine what it would have been like if I hadn’t seen Jon before!
I would highly recommend getting some sort of facial before the wedding. I wanted to make my skin look as good as possible on camera and that really helped!
I recommended that my girls get the airbrush makeup. I find it really makes a difference in the photos!
We wrote our own vows. I was convinced that I was going to be a crying mess through them but somehow I found the strength to keep it together. Hearing Jon’s vows was one of my favorite moments from the wedding.
Now let’s check out a sneak peek of their wedding photos.
