We were down along the water in Mystic on our 5th anniversary.

What was your favorite moment(s) from the wedding?

Seeing Tom when I was walking down the aisle, dancing with my dad, hearing my dad and sister’s speeches, and dancing with friends.

How long have you been together?

Over 6 years

How would you describe your overall wedding experience?

It was amazing- best day of our lives!

What advice would you offer to other couples planning a wedding

Hire amazing vendors to take care of you on your wedding day.

What photography-related advice would you offer to a couple?

To hire Greg and relax and have fun!

Tell me about your dress. Where did you find it, how did you choose it, how did you know it was the one?

I bought my dress at Lastrina Girls in Middletown. It was the second dress I tried on and I kept coming back to it. I found it the first day I was looking. I felt like it was gorgeous and fit me well!

How was your experience taking photos/working with me on your wedding day?

Amazing! We have loved working with you. You are so talented, kind, funny, and overall incredible. You helped us know what to do when and how to get the best photos. Thank you for arranging the first look with my dad, and first touch with Tom so flawlessly. You always made us feel relaxed and like taking pictures was easy.

Did you see each other before the wedding? If not, did you like waiting or would you have rather done it differently? Tell me why or why not!

We did not, and I wouldn’t change it. Seeing Tom for the first time coming down the aisle was so special because we hadn’t seen each other yet. I loved the first touch that we did, and how we exchanged cards as well beforehand. I would do that all the same way again.

Any tips on how to prepare for the wedding photos?

Just relax and listen to your photographer!

Any tips that you have about preparing your wedding party for the photos? What did you tell them, how did you get them to cooperate, what did you do or what would you have done differently?

Nothing- just having a list of pictures ready and keeping everyone close by.

Any tips on what to bring?

Safety pins, hair spray, and tissues!

You of course! Maneeley’s in South Windsor was our venue and they were incredible to work with. Everything from the decorations and coordinating services were all included!

Michael Simonetta was our DJ out of Berlin, CT. He was amazing – so nice, extremely talented and helpful!

Daisy’s Designs created all of my beautiful wood flower bouquets, centerpieces, etc. Liz is the owner and works out of Ellington, CT.

Theresa Spellman and her team from The Hair Tree did our hair and make-up! They are out of Colchester, CT.

Alison Wilson made my gorgeous cake and delicious cupcakes! She is in Canton, CT.

Yes, Lastrina Girls was amazing for dress shopping. I got my veil, hairpiece, and jewelry at Mariella’s Creations in Rocky Hill, CT.

What were you most anxious, nervous or fearful about regarding your wedding day and what was the outcome?

I was very nervous for the whole thing – it’s hard to pinpoint what about it made me nervous. I know I was worried that I would be very emotional all day, but I really only was at certain moments and it all worked out fine!

What’s one piece of advice you would give to other couples for planning their wedding?

Stay organized: keep a running to-do list, as well as a big spreadsheet of who you are inviting, all of their contact information, meal choices, etc. Be open to all of your vendors’ suggestions – they know what they are doing!

What was the first song you danced to as husband and wife? Father-daughter dance? Mother-son dance?

Our first dance was Life with You by Kelsey Hart. The Mother-son dance was I Hope you Dance by Lee Ann Womack. The Father-daughter dance was Three Little Birds by Kasey Musgrave.
